By directing a laser beam over a wider area, wobble welding broadens the weld seams created by focused lasers. For a variety of applications, the result is superior weld quality and visual finish.
The flexibility of wobble welding accounts for the presence of gaps between parts, allowing for high-quality welds with less strict part fit up requirements.

Conventional laser welding typically requires precise fit up between workpieces, leading to low quality or unacceptable welds in the event of unexpected gaps. By widening the area covered by a focused laser beam, wobble welding dramatically widens the process parameter window and reduces the impact of process variables on the final seam.
